Lieutenant Colonel of the RA Mushegh Vahakni Babayan, Jermuk Hamon, was born on July 20, 1957 in the village of Herher in Vayots Dzor region. In 1975-77 he served in the USSR Army. He graduated from the Russian Tyumen Industrial Institute and Moscow Military Engineering University.
Since 1989, he has joined the heroes of the Artsakh Liberation War and has joined forces with Vayk (Bouduni, Gndevaz), Yeghegnadzor (Khachik) and Shahumyan Shahumyan (Buzzlugh, Echkeh, Manashid), Martakert (Agarak, Kichan, Drmbon), Hadrut (Tog, Sarishen) Fuzuli, Kubatlyor and other areas of self-defense and liberation battles. In 1991-92, he was a squadron, in 1992-93, a battalion, in 1993-94, a battalion, and since 1994 he has been a commander of the military unit.
